Description

This course will familiarize you with basic self-defense skills and concepts for personal protection with an emphasis on ground defense. You’ll learn environmental awareness, physiological and psychological responses, legalities, and moral/ethical concerns in self- defense. The latter part of the class will cover defensive tactics against physical assaults and active shooter response.

Participation in defensive tactics is optional and will be practiced with a partner or a training mannequin.

Additional Notes

*Park behind the building and walk through the Webster Bank vestibule through two sets of double doors. Once in Courtyard, the training studio will be on the right.

Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic footwear.
